Helicopters Rescue 1, Warrior 32, and Warrior 33 have now inserted search teams onto Category A search sites 1A, 1B, 1C to continue the search of these areas. Command and control has been established by Rescue Global and the Red Cross, supported by Task Force Bravo communications.
The Rescue Global search team, accompanied by the Red Cross, Park Rangers, and locals who know the area well, are now searching the lower paths and adjacent vertical drops and waterfalls. The Rescue Global helicopter is standing by to provide pick up by lines through the canopy should this be required.
The US Consul General and the family are exploring the option of getting search dogs on site to assist the effort.
Release #2 0904 CST
On route from Liberia to the base camp this morning, Rescue Global and Task Force Bravo team members came upon a road traffic accident involving a head on collision with two motorbikes, with 3 casualties. 1 head wound, 1 leg wound.
Rescue Global Team Leader (David Jones) provided emergency scene management and primary medical care to the casualties.
Task Force Bravo provided translation between casualties and team members (Staff Sgt Bustamente).
Rescue Global handed over to ambulance staff once they arrived on scene. They then made their way to base camp to continue the search efforts.

Searching is recommencing at 0700 hrs local. Search teams on high ground at 1A, 1B, and 1C. Also a team on lower paths where David G was known to have walked.
Flyers have been posted in the local town by David G’s parents to raise awareness.
The Rescue Global team are this morning assisting with creating search sectors, and a sectorised command and control structure for management of the search and rescue efforts. Cooperation between all parties on scene at a high level and mutual support is a key factor in the efforts. Task Force Bravo continue to provide air support with their 2 helicopters, as well as communications support.
Once the command and control structure is in place, the Rescue Global team will then conduct a search of the vertical drops from the lower path, near waterfalls and ridge lines.
Conditions remain hazardous, and safety is a prime concern for all teams.
