Silver Command

Tactical Leadership – located close  to or at the deployment area

This team established a forward operating base close to, or at the deployment area. Silver Command provides local tactical leadership to the SAR Group, for the duration of the mission.

Roles and responsibilities of Silver Command, include:

• Liaise with Gold Command to report overall progress of the assigned tasks
• Request addition resources from Gold Command and / or local agencies
• Provide SAR Group with Team Leaders, trained and experienced SAR Group members with additional management and leadership skills
• Conduct local tactical meetings to update all agencies, local and international, also SAR Group Team Leaders as to the progress of the mission, changes in operation plan(s), priorities and ensures critical information flow.
